I went looking for the swans, but they were far away and I didn’t have a long lens on the camera. It was late in the day and the shadows were long and strangely blue. I played with the image which I liked but clearly needed help to make it pop.
I used several different filters to bring the swan out and reduce the blueness and intensity of the shadow on his feathers. The result is more than a little impressionistic, but not unattractive.

This is awesome! Swans are so beautiful and graceful. We use to take the kids to a park when we lived in Florida that featured swans and ducks.

They live on the banks of the pond, so you can almost always see them. There weren’t many out on the water, but I could hear them. They’ll come out to play soon I think

They used to be uncommon but in the past few years, they seem to have started nesting along the river and ponds. I love visiting them and they are happy to get a few snacks if you just happen to have a little something with you:-)
