The Porch

Across from the old barn is the house. Fully restored, it dates to the mid 1700s. The owner painted all the rocking chairs herself.

  1. Reminds me of the visits to my grandmothers when I was growing up. What wonderful memories!

  2. 1. Love the photo. The contrasting colors are stellar.
    2. You just nominated me for an up and coming blogger award. Many thanks. I am honored. Sadly, while responding to the post, I accidentally deleted it. Guess I am a clumsy blogger too. Could you repost it on my blog? So sorry.

  3. I like this photo. Framed with a nice mat it would look lovely hung on anyone’s wall. The chairs intrigue me, with their smoked red paint job and composition in the frame. I like the offset window as well as the balaning jug on the other corner. This would make an excellent entry in a monthly contest with the subject being “Red”. 🙂

    • I have a copy on my wall but it isn’t well framed. One of those el cheapo do it yourself jobs. If I ever have any money … yeah right … I’ll redo it properly. It’s one of my favorites too.

  4. Nice composition!!! Cheers Nonoy Manga
