    • Gordon Whatisname. Winter. Gordon Winter. He wrote “Secrets of the Royals” and other crap, but he was who he said he was … and now that you mention it, he does look like Gerald Ford! Yikes! I never noticed!

      • Especially out of the corner of your eye!! And now that you mention it, I never knew what Gordon Winter looked like till now! You learn something everyday…I wonder if people tell him he looks like a late President? LOL

        • You mean you actually heard of the guy? We literally bumped into him. He lived right next to Maeve’s cairn and we were looking for the trail. He told us it was too late in the afternoon to make the climb because it was about 2 hours up to the top, but it would be dark before we could get back down, so instead, we hung out. Bought his book. Petted his chickens. Drank tea in his kitchen. He claimed he was REALLY James Bond. Very chatty. Spent hours with him. He was a weird guy and we thought he was something of a nut case.

    • I went to Amazon UK and there is an author’s page for him, but it’s singularly free of any information. I wonder if he died since we met him in 1990 … that was 23 years ago.
