    • And I to you too. It never stops hurting. Matt was far too young but when are we ever ready for such a loss? He was my big brother. I’ll always miss him.

      • Mark was my little brother and died at 42. Way too early, leaving just me and my mother as my dad died the same year as my brother. We are a tiny family now!

        • Matt was 61 which is young too … younger than I am now. I’m one of the older generation now that both my parents and my cousins parents’ are gone. Weird. But I have a beautiful granddaughter plus her father and mother. That counts for a lot. And my husband, of course … and let us NOT forget the puppies 🙂

    • When I lived on Long Island, Woodcleft Canal was a dump. Rusting old boats, trash, marshland. They spiffied it up a lot in the past 30 years.

    • Yes. That was 2007, a week before my brother died. We didn’t know we had come for a funeral, but that’s what it turned out to be.
