And then she said …

I have a very dear friend who is going through the most terrible time of her life, yet her Christian faith has never wavered. She once told me you could sum up Christianity in a sentence.

“What is that?” I asked.

“Christ died,” she answered, “so we would be nice to each other, even before morning coffee.” Then she smiled, and took a sip from her cup.

Be kind to everyone. Even when you don’t feel like it. Maybe especially then.

  2. I had a wonderful teacher once who said you have to love everyone but you don’t have to like them!!! I think that sums it up beautifully. It is quite possible to love someone at a distance and be quite content not to have to deal with them any more than necessary.
