Sitting by the river, and instead of the normal reflections, ripple, movement of the water, there was this. If you look very carefully, you can see the shapes of distorted trees and others natural items along the shore. What caused the strange reflections, I don’t know. Never seen them before or since.

It was quite strange to see. The water looked black and all striped. Eventually I realized that the stripes were the distorted trees, but I’ve never seen the water look like that any other time. And we have a LOT of water around here. Water sprites. Nymphs. Hell, I believe it.
