  2. Good for Garry! I remember him well from the TV News; always one of our favorite reporters!

    • Thank you. He denies it, but he loves when people recognize him πŸ™‚ My favorite question from people who think they know him: “Didn’t you used to be Garry Armstrong?” What can you say, really?

    • He’s proud of this one — and should be πŸ™‚ It’s so hard to grab The Moment.

      • He should be proud of it. It’s framed as if it was planned, except it’s so obvious that it’s natural– that’s awesome. πŸ™‚ I always wonder how people catch those shots. I’m the type who goes to a birthday party and forgets to get any pictures with the birthday boy in it, ha! πŸ™‚

        • The answer is to not be as anal as I am about framing and take the shot. I may see it, but by the time I’ve got it the way I want it, it’s gone. I’m not a spontaneous photographer. Garry just shoots. It comes out or not, but at least he took the shot … while I’m still focusing. It’s nice we do different things photographically. His long long years in the field are telling. I am, by the way, a terrible event photographer. I always get great shots of guests no one recognizes (who’s that? did we invite him?) while missing the main event.

          • πŸ™‚ I’m the same! I’ll get pictures of everyone’s shoes, or the candles, or some weird moment in between… but hey, if you ever need a picture of birthday candles, I have quite a few under my belt. πŸ˜€

            • I get lost in details … or in something about somebody’s face or the way the shadows look behind the refrigerator. So I have party pictures of the table after everyone has finished eating, or the empty staircase near the front door. Or MY shoes πŸ™‚
