Joy! On a boat putting out to sea. Autumn, Hyannisport, Cape Cod. A beautiful day, a captured moment.

Topsiders. A blast from the past 🙂 I wore them for years when we had a boat and spent much of our free time in and around boats. Haven’t really thought of them for years, but putting on the topsiders was a sure sign that summer was coming again 🙂

Very many years ago, I dated a man who owned a sailboat and wore Topsiders. They’re perfect for warm weather and except for more formal occasions, a woman can get away with wearing them with most things. I still have several pairs.

I have multiple pairs of topsiders AKA boatshoes which I wear year around except when we have heavy snow. The only time I wear “dress” footwear now, in my golden retirement years, is when we are going “out”. It’s a far cry from my “GQ” years when my dress had to be perfect right down to my daily shined shoes. This is so much more comfortable!!
