It was misty this morning when I went into the kitchen to start the coffee. The dogs were dancing with delight, anticipating their first round of biscuits. You might think they never got any treats from the enthusiasm they displayed. But they are like that every morning. It’s one of the fun things about dogs — every morning is the first morning ever!
The weather for the past few days has been drippy and damp, so it was nice to wake up to a bright sky and shining sun. It wasn’t until I looked out my kitchen window that I realized how much mist was rising from the woods. If I didn’t grab a camera right now, it would be burned off in just a few minutes. So I grabbed that camera and this is one of the 19 frames I shot this Wednesday morning.

I see the snow has gone at last! It would be great if it would stop raining here long enough to get some mist.

It was a one day respite. Raining again today. But at least it’s not snow. Right now, anything but snow works for me!

I am expecting something to walk out of the mist.

That would certainly have livened up my morning — because that IS my backyard. We have critters, but so far, nothing zomboid or otherwise weird.

Thanks. We don’t get mist very often. Fog, occasionally, but mist like that is rare. I’m glad I had the presence of mind to grab it before it got away 🙂

It lasts for just a couple of minutes. Glad I could capture it — Thanks!

I wish you could have seen what I saw yesterday. I was looking at some woods with the afternoon sun breaking out. All of the raindrops lingering on trees and leaves glistened gold, reflecting the sun. Marvelous.

I SEE it often … but never yet have I had a camera in hand — with the right lens — to catch it. It’s so beautiful. I know what you mean. The whole woods shines, almost like ice.

Sun is due east at that hour, kitty corner to the house … I had the teepee door facing due east to catch those first rays. I do miss my teep 🙂
