Yesterday was bright with mist rising through the woods. Today, it’s back to rain. Light, mostly drizzle and the woods are full of fog. Easy enough to photograph, but hard to process without losing the fog or the mood the fog creates, other worldly.

So many layers, especially on that first one. I like the close-up of the rough bark on the tree trunk with all the moss and lichen.

That is what I love about the woods. The texture … and the way light filters through the leaves during the leafy seasons. Thank you for noticing π

Thank you. I’m just starting to try shooting in gray and rainy weather. It’s a whole different experience.

Wonderful photos and great processing. Like the structures in the photos that comes from the trees!

I did almost no processing on most of these. That fog and mist is delicate and if you don’t use a really light hand, it vanishes into the mist so to speak π The hard part of finding that “just enough but not too much part. I’m getting better!
