In memory of all the storms that almost were … It’s winter in New England and no plan is guaranteed. Snow will have its way with us.

No snow here, just cold, but that is about to change as we are headed for a warming spell. I still love how beautifully snow paints the dead of winter into wonderlands. Beautiful photography!

Winter here is messy and inconvenient … and makes those of us with arthritis — pretty much everyone I know — ache. But it sure is lovely and ultra photogenic.

The way I’m looking at it, if the weather must insist on being so bitterly cold, the very least it could do is snow. I don’t even care if I get snowed in, as long as there is plenty of coffee, tea, and pretzels on hand. And power, an internet connection, and new books to read. At least I’m not picky. 😀

New England and snow – seems like a never ending story. Last year, we visited Boston. Guess what happened: we had the pleasure of meeting Triton… Wading around in more than knee high snow in Roxbury was something to remember. 😉 There is a nice shot in my Boston impressions…

Yes. New England has two powerful seasons — winter and fall. Not much of a spring (you could miss it most years) and summer is simply too short … but snow we’ve got and lots of it1 I hope you enjoyed your visit 🙂

It’s super cold around here, but we haven’t gotten precipitation at the same time.

Lucky because when it snows and it’s so cold, every flake sticks. So far, so good. Almost through January and still close to ground level! Maybe we’ll get through this one alive.
