I’VE GOT MY LOVE TO KEEP ME WARM

Winter is long in New England. It snowed yesterday. It stopped for a while. And it is snowing again and this storm, which is pretty big will be followed by a much larger storm a few days from now. There’s no reason to be surprised. Winter is like this and February is often the month when the heaviest snow falls. The Blizzard of ’78 was just about this time in February. Just saying.

Please enjoy the vintage recording of Billie Holiday, one of the all time great blues singers.Maybe the greatest.

  1. I guessed that was Billie Holiday, but I had to look it up. Nice touch. I’m going to play that as I watch the next snowstorm this winter. Thanks for making me aware of this marvelous song.

Love the pictures of the fur kids in the snow.

  2. Oh, I do so love Billie Holiday. In fact, I have about six or so CD’s of her work, most of the double-disc variety. I can’t play them on anything but my computer, but might talk the boyfriend into putting them into MP3’s (is that do-able?) so I can put them on my player.

    1. It’s probably doable, but I don’t know how. I bought a CD player for the living room and one for the bedroom. Problem solved. I have a lot of CDs and I like being able to play them! I think you can play CDs in your DVD player if you have a sound system too.
