Half a foot of fresh snow overnight. Morning now. Bright clean snow with just a few tiny tracks of local song birds along the surface.

It’s funny looking at this photo now. I am moving backwards through your posts. When I saw your latest snow post, first thought was there are no tracks! How funny 🙂 Now, here they are!

We have a foot of fresh snow out there right now … and it’s still falling.

From the comments, it sounds like you’ll be sending Garry out for birdseed and feeders. The area around our house is very bird-free because of the dogs, although I keep water for them anyway during the summer…but have never seen one drinking. Ah well, at least then the attempt has been made. And that snow is so pretty compared to what we have here now…melted slush, gray and yucky.

We should pick up some bird seed and put it out. They are having a very hard time this year.

Thanks. You have to get out early to get them in the fresh powder.

Mainly what I had to do was really LOOK. Sometimes, in my rush to do something else I don’t see what’s right in front of me.

I felt guilty when I saw them. Poor things looking for food. I have to fix that.
