    • You mean my Snow White “Someday My Prince Will Come” lamp? It’s actually one of a pair. My granddaughter kept the other. I have a quirky sense of humor in home furnishings. That’s a collectible, you know 🙂

      • Nice. Did not know it was a collectible. I just thought it stood out – looks quirky. I like quirky.

        • I used to run an online antiques and collectibles business (Kismet on Ruby Lane). I picked these up at an estate sale for a couple of dollars. I liked them so I kept them. I’ll have to take pictures of some of the other stuff I kept. A lot of old doorstops. Dolls. Other odds and ends of pop art. I love mixing 1970s Disney with ancient Chinese porcelain. It confuses people. I also have a howling coyote cookie jar and a singing bird clock. I miss my little business. The market collapse killed it, but for a few years, I made some money and had a lot of fun. And collected some neat stuff.

          • I think it’s pretty cool to have odds & ends like that. Too bad about the market collapse. I’m sure that place was a fun place to hang out at. Kinda’ like a world of treasures!

            • It was fun and it was cool. It started out because I had too much stuff and needed to sell it. But I had customers. It turned into a real business. It was work … a LOT of work actually between acquiring stuff to sell, photographing everything, posting listings and keeping track of orders, payments, billing, etc. etc. and of course, shipping which when a lot of your stuff is fragile, is a big deal. When the market collapsed, no one had spare money for luxuries and nothing I sold could be considered any kind of necessity — or even useful. So before I went broke, I just closed up. I wound up with as much stuff as I started with, but NICER stuff.
