GOOGLE GOOGLED ME

happy birthday from google

The weirdest and funniest “happy birthday” of the day? I opened Google after midnight and there was a picture of a birthday cake and other goodies. So I said to myself, I wonder who else’s birthday it is?

When I hovered the cursor, it said (still does) “Happy birthday, Marilyn.” I think it must only work on my computer, but that’s the picture.

How do they do that? It’s kind of spooky, but cute! I know it’s software, but still … out of the millions of people using Google, how do they know to make that header show up on my computers?

Isn’t technology grand?

  5. I think that happened to me as well! I’m generally always logged in to Google on Chrome so I guess they got my date of birth from my account.
It’s a lovely thing to see on one’s birthday 🙂

    • Ah, of course you are Pisces 🙂 Naturally. I’ll eat a maki roll in your honor tonight. Friday is surgery day, so I’ll be in another place. But thanks Mike. Good to know there are friends out there.

      • And on my birthday I will be sending you some positive healing energy Marilyn. I suspect you have many friends and it tickles me that I am in that legion.

        • I wish so many friends were so not so far. A significant — critical — care group are here — and I am grateful for all friendship, wherever it may be. Friday will be a good time to send all kinds of positive energy. It’s going to be a long surgery. There’s a lot to be done in there. I won’t know all of it until after the cathaterization on Thursday. I hope the rest of the heart is okay. But whatever, I just want them to fix it all and be on my way back to life.
