BIRCH ON THE RIVERBANK

Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Found In Nature

Okay, it’s really sepia, but it started as black and white, then I added the toning to give it more of an antique feeling and a bit of warmth. I liked it. I added burnt edges. It could be anytime along any northern river where silver birch trees grow.

    • Thanks. My surgeon bumped me to next Monday/Tuesday. And anyway, it’s snowing and I’ve got a cold so maybe it worked out as it should. Glad to be able to participate.

  2. I think it is really great in sepia, although I have no idea what the black and white looked like. The effects are very nice. Water reflections are one of my favorite kinds of photographs.

    • Not so different, but the toning made it a bit softer, which I liked. A bit unearthly. I often do pictures a few different ways, just to see what works, what doesn’t. Learning is trial and error.
