Share Your World – 2014 Week 11

Late winter at the dam

If you were an ice cream cone how many scoops and flavors would you be and why?

I would be a single scoop of either really top-notch vanilla bean or strawberry, depending on mood and the season. A single scoop because I can’t eat more than that fast enough to keep it from dripping all over me.

Are you left or right-handed?

Right. Very right.

Before making a phone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say?

Only when I’m dealing with customer service and I need to have all my ducks in a row. Never for personal communications.

How many rings before you answer the phone?

At least two because these days, if you answer too fast, you aren’t connected. I wait until the caller ID comes up. Which also gives me the option of not answering if it is, as usual, someone wanting me to buy something or give to some unknown and probably bogus charity.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Grateful I’m still breathing. Grateful the big snowstorm wasn’t so big after all. I’m not looking forward to next week. I am, however, looking forward to the week after that. Next week, if all goes according to plan (does it ever?), will be a bummer.

  1. I definitely agree….next week will be a bummer. But it should improve greatly after that. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Good vanilla ice cream is definitely more complex than people realize, and very good.
