A Photo a Week Challenge: Into the Woods
A misty morning in January … Our woods, our home. A rare day with no snow on the ground. Maybe the last day of this past winter when there was dry ground. By the end of the month, we will be hip deep in ice and snow.

Someday I’ll have to see that movie. I seem to have missed it 🙂

I’ve been trying to get that shot for years, but the camera automatically cuts through the mist. I used a different lens — NO filter, not even a daylight and it finally worked!

It is pretty, but not always so heavenly. Right now, it’s peak pollen season and I could do with a little less nature running wild!

Ah no the pollen! I heard if you eat a lot of local honey that makes you immune to the local pollen. I can see the logic to it… but I have no evidence this works! Hope it eases soon.

Well, we used to have a source for local honey. My husband and I are really suffering this year. Worse than any year since we’ve lived here. I don’t know what new pollen has hit us … or if the guy with the bees is still selling honey. I’ll have to check. It’s worth a try!

oh no! Fingers crossed the pollen lifts. How about a dab of eucalyptus oil on tissue paper near by? (I have no idea why but I found this helped in the past.) Feel better soon!

Thanks for having me. That’s the first time I managed to capture the morning mist so I’m particularly fond of the shot 🙂
