Favorite Mistake – Is there a mistake you’ve made that turned out to be a blessing — or otherwise changed your life for the better? Tell us all about it.
No, not really anything to tell. To the best of my recollection, my mistakes were mistakes. They generally turned out as one would expect. Badly. Some of my intentional choices also turned out to be mistakes, but that’s life, eh?
Other than missing a turn on a map and discovering a good restaurant, unexpected little town, or hidden beach? Such ordinary events are not blessings. More like a definition of serendipity.
So nope, sorry. Can’t think of any.

I’ve made plenty of mistakes and they cost me big. Fortunately, I rarely made the same one twice. I like where I am too … mentally. The body could use a reboot.

I’ve made lots of mistakes, some intentional, but mostly not. Regardless of how bad they seemed at the time, I’ve always come out the other side a little smarter than before, and perhaps a little more grateful.

Learning from mistakes is the only value I can see in them. I’d prefer another option for learning 🙂

When I make a mistake, which is more often than I care to admit, I have no expectation that they will turn out to be a blessing. I just hope that the outcome won’t be as bad as the mistake I made.

Like you I wouldn’t call them ‘blessings’ but more like happy endings or luck. I’ve had a few of those along the way and lots more than didn’t end so well.

I have more intentions that went wrong than mistakes that went (sort of) right … and sometimes, you can only see when a wrong was righter than you thought half a lifetime later. It’s all relative.

Favorite mistake? That’s an oxymoron in my book. A psychiatrist once told me my “Picker Outer” was broken when it came to women. Does that count? 😦

There IS something that has a higher viewpoint and better plan than me. It’s guidance and protection that has often overridden my petty ideas has saved me many times.

I always point out that we are merely passengers on a bus going to a destination at which we can only guess. We aren’t driving, we aren’t directing. We are just along for the ride.
