This brilliant day was a perfect opportunity to use trees to frame that incredibly blue sky. It was an amazing color, almost surreal. I stepped back into the shade, the trees were silhouettes. I pressed the shutter. Voila. A summer sky, framed by trees, captured forever.
Contrasts
Light and dark, tall and short, happy and sad — this week, share a shot that captures a contrast.

Yup, your shot covers a lot of contrasts and the trees against the sky are beautiful (I am partial to nature but living in Barbados where we mostly have sun and greenery all year long could be the reason for this). Think you did a great job intrepreting the challenge; here’s my abstract kind of take on contrasts – how did I do? Talk to me!

It was one of those rare days in June when everything was perfect including that blue sky. That’s the real color, no fix. I actually lowered the saturation a bit because it was glowing at me from my monitor 🙂

I get quite a view of sun shining through the rustling trees in my backyard. One of these days, I’ll photograph it (Mom still hasn’t given her camera back 😦 )
