190 Days Later – Back on January 21st, we asked you to predict what day #211 would be like. Well, July 30th is that day — how have your predictions held up so far? If you didn’t reply to the prompt at the time, is this year turning out to be as you’d expected?

I checked to make sure. I didn’t write this prompt. I didn’t write it because I had all kinds of heart surgery coming up and wasn’t sure I’d be alive now, much less writing posts in a blog.

As we see, I’m here.

This year has been almost exactly what I expected, both the good and the bad of it. The winter was worse, the spring nasty and wet … but summer has been lovely and I’m hoping for an excellent, perhaps an award-winning Autumn.

With just a wee bit o’ luck, I’ll make it through the whole year and still be here to complain about it.

  1. Good to see you !

I’m still here too. Figured I’d be gone by now ??
For all the good I’m doing I’m not why I’m still around.
But, I’m a moment to moment person anyway … so what the hell.

I like that photo. That isn’t an overlay is it – combined image ?

    • It’s a combined image, taken on the same evening on Barnstable beach. That’s why the tones match so well, but of course the moon was much higher in the sky and not that big in proportion to the boats. I don’t do that stuff much … like almost never, so it was nice that this worked out so well.

I’m glad you’re around too. And I also occasionally wonder why I’m still around.

  2. Nicely said and Yay!

  3. I’m looking forward to a beautiful autumn, too–and seeing your pictures of it!

  4. Glad to see you’re okay! That’s so scary!

  5. Complain away….I adore your sense of humor and realism all at the same time.

  6. hello, I’m very glad that you are still around and still writing though my visits are infrequent. So glad that the surgery went well and that you are enjoying a lovely summer 🙂

  7. Very glad you’re still here kicking and screaming and taking photos and just being you. I didn’t do the prompt back in January, but whoa buddy, I wouldn’t have predicted all this.

    • I was not predicting anything last January except a long period of pain and suffering. What would follow then, I had no idea. So I’m glad I made it. Glad YOU made it. It’s about time we caught a break.

  8. Happiness and gratitude are great. But complaining may be underrated. When the winter and spring are nasty, might as well admit it. Enjoy the summer. It’s lovely here in the Seattle area too.

  9. Glad you are still here and always looking forward to what you have to say 🙂

  10. Am glad you are here, we have a lot to discuss over the next years.

  11. And I am SO pleased that you ARE still breathing, still with us, Marilyn! xxx
