WORLD-SHARING, WEEK 36

Do you prefer reading coffee table books (picture), biographies, fiction, non-fiction, educational?

Aww, c’mon. I read everything, including the back of cereal boxes. I guess science fiction and fantasy are my top two this decade, but history is a very close runner-up. With thrillers and biographies hanging in there too.

I read all the time, pretty much. If I’m not writing or shooting or processing, I’m reading.

What is your biggest fear or phobia? (no photos please)

Spiders.

I have a couple of really creepy photos, if you change your mind!

What is your favorite cheese?

You keep asking hard questions. Well my favorite changes. Bleu cheese is a favorite, but right now it’s sharpΒ parmesan. Sometimes, it’s Jarlsberg. Sharp cheddar is a perennial and almost a staple. Cheese — kind of a moving target!

What is your favorite month of the year?

October.

  5. Yuck, spiders. It seems at this time of the year they’re everywhere.

    • Yes, they are, the sneaky creepy icy things. I opened the window (which has been closed since the A/C went on) and it was full of what appeared to be dead spiders. I didn’t trust them to stay dead, so I closed the window. I’ll have to get Garry, my Hero Bug Slayer to vacuum up the corpses (they could be playing possum) so I can open it with going EEK.

  6. You know I was going to say October because of the leaves but that just brought on the memory of November with Thanksgiving and my dear friends that have invited me into their home since I moved to Oregon.

The cheese question is a tough one as there are so many delightful tastes, smells and colors available. My mouth is puckering with the memory of the sharpest cheddar I ever experienced in New Jersey, cow country. Then there’s the thought of mild and creamy Farmers cheese that makes such great finger food.

Yup, Cee picked some tough questions this week and with them came the flood of countless fond memories. Thanks Cee, thanks Marilyn!

  7. Reblogged this on Travels with Mary and commented:
Love this! Ah, to pick a favorite ‘anything’ has always been difficult.

    • I do better picking when it isn’t books or movies. I like too many and too varied a selection from them to say anything sensible — and worse, if you ask me again even half an hour later, I’ll probably pick something else πŸ™‚

      • Ah, but it is the many wonderful choices of possible pics that prompt you to get a good shot! πŸ™‚ And the ‘shot’s are beautiful πŸ™‚

    Month: any Spring month.
I have a couple of winter photos, if you change your mind!

    • I love spring in the spring because by then, I am so desperate for winter to go away, that I’d happily hug a groundhog. But I give it to Autumn for sheer beauty β€” and wonderful (usually, my mouth to God’s ear) weather. We’re beginning to feel it here, now. Mixed with fear of an early winter … 😦
