Evil Squirrel’s Nest Comic #138 — 12/18/14

If this doesn’t perfectly sum up the spirit of Christmas, I’m sure I can’t imagine what does. I’m also including the lovely portrait of Lil which Bill sent to me. It arrived — actually ARRIVED — via U.S. Postal Service. A Christmas miracle?

Lil is beautiful and so is Bill and so is Evil Squirrel, his alter-ego. Walt Kelley is smiling down from somewhere.

  1. Woohoo! I think this may be the only time I’ve ever drawn Lil with her spiky purple hair inhibited by a hat… but my little wild child is still looking good! I’m happy that you like her, and thanks for yet another comic reblog! I’m not sure what Walt would think about kicking possums out into busy traffic, though… 😉

    • I’m sure Walt would have changed with the times. He not only changed WITH the time, Walk changed the times in which he lived. He was plenty snarky himself and I always appreciated his under-the-radar commentary on the state of the state. You are moving in that direction. You should look back over your year of cartoons. It’s a veritable metamorphosis.
