NOT SO MELLOW YELLOW

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: YELLOW

Away with the colors of Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Show us what “yellow” means to you.

Flowers and fall. Yellow the most enduring color of leaves in the autumn. It’s the first color to which the trees change and the last one remaining when most of the foliage is gone. It’s the backbone of our garden, the dominant color throughout July, August and September … and the first color of crocus every spring. Yellow — it’s not just for bananas any more.

  4. This is gorgeous. Yellow is such a happy color. And with all the red of the season, it’s lovely and a nice change.

  5. Excellent shots. I liked them all, but thought the most creative was the one of the traffic lights. My favourite one though was of the yellow leafy trees stretching towards a clear blue sky. Niceness! Here’s my take (until the pingback WP feature works for me). Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed yours. https://galeweithers.wordpress.com/2014/12/19/souls-in-blossom/

  7. Lots of yellow here! I chose just a few, I’m certain I would’ve gotten carried away had I spent but just a few more minutes looking.

  9. I love that these are photos from your garden. Beautiful! You also reminded me that I forgot to include the photo of my bananas. I’m going to do that now 🙂
