A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE – SOMETHING NEW
In this case, I am celebrating my new booties! I know. I could celebrate new life, sunrises, etc. Something meaningful and deep.
But you see, life is different now than once it was. Gone are the days when Christmas brought piles of new goodies. We can no longer afford such extravagance, and even if we could, we don’t need piles of anything, except maybe money. Nor have we room for lots more stuff. Not even a small amount of stuff. When anything new comes in, something old needs to go out.
So there’s not much newness in our world. No new babies or puppies. The garden is dead until spring (hopefully) revives it. The earth is asleep in the northern hemisphere. So … let’s all admire my booties. They make me and my feet happy.
My favorite “new thing” for 2015 are these cuties. They are quite the latest in booties. Designed with a narrower shank to look more streamlined, less klutzy. Your eyes do not deceive you. These are “dressy” Uggs! Comfortable, warm, water-resistant … and red.

I bought my granddaughter the same boots for Christmas, but with the 7″ shaft (mine are 5″) because that was what she wanted … and in dark gray, because she is heavily into neutral these days.

Thanks. Today is the first time I really got to wear them for a whole day. They are now as comfortable as all my other Uggs. They just needed a day on my feet to break in 😀

I have a new camera, 27mm lens here by Wednesday and a table full of art supplies. Santa was good to me this year. Santa is now broke. LOL

Yes. Funny about that. I have “Pal Pal credit” and Amazon credit and Dell credit. Always ready to let me get deeper in debt. They send me notices pointing out how much credit I’ve got that I haven’t used yet. Isn’t that nice of them?

You know how bad Amazon is. Look at something once and their ads are on every webpage you look at for the next 6 months. B&H Camera needs no help getting their business. I’m addicted to all things photography.

They are indeed. I figured everyone else would have baby people and baby animals, sunrises, new leaves and flowers etc. I have a lot of pictures of that stuff, but I do so love my booties 🙂
