SELF-EXPRESSION – WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE

Late January. The woods, my Olympus PEN E-PL5. The shadows of the deck railing forming strips. Bright sun in woods … and a photography challenge.

    • That one is solarized. I don’t know if you would call it a filter. I think it classifies as a process. Back in the days of film, dark rooms, and paper prints, you solarized a picture by briefly opening the dark room door for like half a second, then closing it. We had to know at what point in the development process to give it a shot of light and could never predict exactly how it would come out. Now, we do it with software 🙂

It’s still impossible to know exactly how it will come out.

  5. I noticed a major storm heading your way on the national forecast. That could provide you with some deep snow pictures you could capture with your new camera. Let us know how you fare with the upcoming weather.

    • I don’t know how major it is. It IS snowing, but it’s falling slowing and lightly. It’s supposed to snow through the day and night and it is, as snow always is, pretty. I’ll post some pictures, but it’s not one of the really deep, heavy snows we get. Hard for me to be sorry about that. It’s quite bad enough getting this one off our ski slope of a driveway!
