VIEWS OF WINTER: ODD BALL PHOTO CHALLENGE WEEK 6

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: 2015 Week #6

I have a lot of icicles. A lot of shadows. A lot of snow. I don’t know if you could call this stuff odd, but I sure do have a lot of it and I’ve been doing these shots in all kinds of ways, using a wide range of effects. So maybe that does made them odd.

We’ve been at the edge of this latest storm, so while areas nearby have gotten four or five inches of snow already (with a couple more days to go before it is over), the snow just started falling here. I’ll have more pictures tomorrow.

Here are my oddballs of the week. Various ways of looking at ice and snow in the deep winter of 2015.

  1. I love how you play with all the different effects, my favorite is the last one. 😀

  2. Love the third and fourth ones, Marilyn. We had a good bit of melting this weekend, which is always depressing, messy, and dirty. But we still have a reasonable bit of snow.

  3. Love your editing. My favourite just has to be the first one. The blue is amazing and the crystals have some texture to them.

    • Thanks. There isn’t a lot of variety. I can’t go far … snow is too deep and no one is going far. No one is going anywhere, actually. So I try to see what I can do with the images I have to keep them from all looking identical 🙂

  4. I love these pictures, particularly the last two. I’ve only ever experienced snow once, this last Christmas. It wasn’t much but it still made everything look so beautiful.
I hope it doesn’t snow too much for you!

  5. Great photos, Marilyn. I still think they would make a couple of nice paintings.

  8. Beautiful, with an unusual one to begin. The blue background makes the ice look spectacular. I love the white ones too, with the contrast of the trunks and window frame.
