Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Things Found in a Kitchen
What a great challenge this is. I love taking pictures in the kitchen. There is so much stuff in a kitchen … so much going on.
So many textures and moods. I have taken a lot of my favorite photographs in the kitchen, usually in the morning when its east-facing windows catch the light. I was happy to take this today. Because the sun is shining.

Great light in the morning. East facing windows. I was planning from the getgo to make these black and white, so I was looking for light, shading, texture, and contrast. And I found it. Kitchens are great places to shoot when you want to take pictures and you are stuck in the house 🙂

I was just going to say that that cookie jar looked pretty neat. You say it howls when it is opened – just too funny!

Not only does it howl. It howls very LOUD. And it sets the dogs off, too 🙂

That was the original point, more to remind ME I didn’t need another cookie.

Thank you, too. I knew I was going to process these into black and white, I took pictures I thought would lend themselves to it and for once, it worked 🙂

Nice to have the sepia-like photo in the set. The cookie jar is fun looking.

The coyote cookie jar howls when you open him. I love it, but not everyone in the family is equally enamored of his howling. I keep him — empty — because he’s such kitschy fun 🙂
