Every week, my husband brings me fresh flowers. I never know what he will choose, but they are always beautiful.
These are fresh bouquets, all from the past couple of winter months.
They have cheered me when skies were gray and when the snow was flying.
When the entire world was without color, there were always fresh flowers.

It’s truly heartwarming to have something/someone to warm those grey winter days 🙂

It definitely improves the experience. It would be very dreary alone.

Thank you. They are the brightest thing in the house and have been all through the cold months. Otherwise, the world is shades of gray.

Sunflowers seemed appropriate for this endless winter of discontent.

They are wonderfully bright. In the absence of spring, they help.

His way of thanking you for being you :-).

I think it’s also his way of keeping a little romance in our otherwise very unromantic lives.

That’s the most important part Marilyn. My husband didn’t know what romance was, when we got married. I had to teach him…no he goes overboard (still doesn’t have a clue but he is trying)

Garry is a movie buff. He knows all about romance from Hollywood movies of the 1930s and 1940s. He had to drop down to earth a little bit too 🙂

My husband must have watched the wrong movies. I remember years back I decided to surprise him with a candle light dinner at home. He opened the door, looked at me and asked “did we pay the electricity bill?” I did teach him a little bit since then 🙂

Thank you. It started out as a spur of the moment gesture and morphed into a tradition. Yes, I am indeed very lucky.
