5-DAY BLACK & WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – DAY 2

75-DecBostonRoofBWNK_05

I was tagged by Cordelia’s Mom, Still to participate in this challenge.

It turns out that no one is quite sure where this challenge originated, but everyone seems to be enjoying it. It’s got only two rules:

1. On 5 consecutive days, create a post using one of your photos in B&W. It doesn’t have to be new or any particular subject. Just black and white.

2. Each day invite another blog friend to join in the fun. The hard part is going to be finding people who haven’t done it already and would like to play.

On this second day of the challenge, I’d like to invite Raewyn’s Photos of Decocraftsdigicrafts to participate. As I tell everyone, you don’t have to play if you are too busy or just prefer not to, but you are officially (formally) invited.

I like both of these. The common thread between them is the light and the texture of surfaces in the picture. In the second picture, I also really like the light on the wood.

  1. I love your musical instrument – I wont say what it is as I am not sure what it is. Thanks for the call out. I have started this morning our time.

  2. I love the shapes in these, much more dramatic with the black and white tones.

  3. Once we’re all done, I intend to find out who started the whole thing, if that’s even possible at this point.

  4. I’d love to invite Orlando Uy over at: http://afternoonwalks.wordpress.com but I’m sure he has his hands full living in Tacloban, Philippines. A major typhoon is predicted to make landfall there tomorrow. Orlando is a good photographer who shoot almost exclusively in B&W.

  5. I’ve jumped in and posted a belated entry for Day #1. I would have been on time with the first day but the time flew by midnight as I was preparing my posts for April 3. Busy, busy, busy, even at midnight. LOL Your B&W photos are great, as usual. Thanks for inviting me to play along.

  6. I don’t know where this black & white challenge originated, either, but the first I heard of it was when Yvette, over at Priorhouse Blog, tagged me on the fifth day of her entry into the black & white challenge. Cordelia’s Mom was one of those I tapped…and she then tapped you.
