  3. I always smile when I see Garry with the dogs. They look happy, he looks even happier.. the way it’s suppose to be. Our dogs don’t hold still (at all). They get up when I get up, like I am the drill Sargent or something like that.

    • Ours too. When they are all settled in, I try to not get up for anything, not even the bathroom, until I have no choice. Then, no matter what we do or say, they get up and follow me down the all, stopping at the kitchen for … tada …something to eat. Just in case we feel like offering them a biscuit. Because, you know, you can’t have too many biscuits 🙂

      • Same here, my shadows, especially my boy. He is 11 years now, has selective hearing and sleeps like a rock, doesn’t hear a thing, but never misses it when I get up. I must sound like an elephant or something like that.

        • I think they have some “extra” senses because Nan is, I believe, totally deaf, but she always senses movement … although at nearly 15, she is beginning to occasionally decide in favor of staying on the sofa (and who can blame her?) … They just know stuff.

  4. Aaahhh…I’ve missed you guys! (not because you were gone–I was. Chiefly because I am a Charmingly Predictable Intermittent, if I may say so, myself) :o) Love this, and love those sweet dogs. What would we do without them??

    • Garry has serious bona fides as the Dog Father. You should see him in the evening, with all three of the small ones on or next to him, the big one at his feet. And he loves it. Live would certainly seem rather empty without them.

      • Those periods in the evening are very special. I find myself smiling broadly. The 3 small dogs are snuggled in various positions ON me. The big guy is nestled at my feet and Marilyn is to my left, usually writing another wonderful blog. It would make for a wonderful picture but we can’t get to a camera.

        • And the room is too dark. And, if I move towards a camera, the scene will dissolve as each dog heads in a different direction. They hate it when I take their picture. I do not understand it.

  5. That living room shot is so comfy. Looks like home, my friend. Wish I could be curled up there with a big cup of coffee.
