CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE: BICYCLE ROAD RACE

CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE: 2015 WEEK #23

Welcome everyone to Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge. This challenge’s subject is the roads, walks, trails, rails, by which we move from place to place. You can walk them, climb them, drive them, ride them — as long as the way is visible. Any angle of a bridge is acceptable, as are any signs.

This week’s entry is the bicycle race in Manchaug on June 7, 2015. Garry took most of the pictures, but a couple are mine. You can be sure, if Garry is in the picture, I took it whereas if I am in the picture, he took it. Check the signatures!

In post-processing, I played around with speed blurring. It think it worked pretty well. I do all the post-processing. Not everyone is happy to be wrapped in Photoshop.

This was a small race, a fun run on a beautiful June day in a very small town.

  2. Oh I like your post this week Marilyn … especially your last photo. We’ve had a couple of bike races in town, I just never thought of photographing them. Hmmmmmm 😀

    • Cee, I loved the challenge of the bike race. I wanted to get a “top of the hill, looking down” shot but I was tiring and my leg was really aching. South Boston is a great place to shoot bike races because of its hilly streets. We used “Southie” a lot during my working days for street scenes and back drops for my on camera stuff … stop motion, etc.
