A Photo a Week Challenge: Action Shot
None of these pictures are brand new, though some are quite recent, taken within the past few months or weeks.
Definitely action shots … and that’s the point, right?
Action — at our age — usually means walking and talking. At the same time! At each age, we redefine the basics.
From the lovely Nancy Merrill, this is the Photo A Week challenge. Action shots!!

That was the day Kaity learned to swim. She was celebrating making friends with the water 🙂

Great photos. I just love the one with Kaity doing her handstand. Oh the agility of youth.

She was incredibly athletic as a kid. Until she hurt her back in gymnastics, she was amazing. And nonstop energy, too. She had more energy in a day than I had in several months!

That is the best part of action photos. They are story pictures. They are alive.

Perfect timing. The energy and action in the pics makes me feel get up and do somersault ! I wish I was light enough to do it…..

I don’t know if Kaity could do it anymore either. I’ll have to ask her when I see her tomorrow 🙂 She was about 11 in that picture. She’s almost 19 now, and not as thin nor as spry.

She is beginning to look more like me as she gets older. And less at the same time. It is so interesting watching kids grow up.

Thanks. I couldn’t get much in the way of new shots. Not a lot of action around here!!

Young Kaity! I fondly remember her doing her hand stands and gymnastic stuff at Boston’s Science Museum and other places. She was a crowd stopper! Gramps’ little girl is all grown up and headed to college.
