BLACK AND WHITE SUNDAY – MACROS

Black & White Sunday: Macro

Still making friends with my macro lens, here are some black and white daisies. There will be more, soon. Today, we are pushing daisies.

All done with an Olympus PEN PL-6 and the Olympus f2.8 60 mm macro lens in not-quite-adequate natural light.

    1. It was in the end, not a lot of money. I just had to wait 4 years for the price to drop 🙂 Patience was the key. I bet they are coming out with a new version of it and that’s WHY the price dropped. I’m still learning. I think the lens can do a lot more. I’ll figure it out eventually.

        1. Yes, but an awful lot also happens out your way — all over Asia. We have no direct access to Hong Kong, Japan, or India. Or any of the places where this stuff is actually mae. If you ever have the chance to go to Hong Kong, everyone who has been there says it is THE place for camera bargains. The Internet has leveled the playing field too. I buy almost entirely online because I can shop the world for bargains.

          1. Even I heard so. I want to share something with you. I have got my passport made including my sons. My dear husband also got his renewal done. I have taken my first step to meet you sometime in future ( I HOPE SOON) Now the financial part is left. If everything goes well we will be traveling to Thailand, Hong Kong also as those are great places for shopping. I shall check the price online, you told the prices shoot up after one week, right?

            1. That’s terrific. Online prices are like the stock market. They go up and down without much warning. I count on other people to sometimes tell me there’s a sale on something I want … but mostly, I surf to see what’s going on at camera sites … like Olympus and other manufacturers. I know when they lower prices online, the prices will go down everywhere else too. So much is a matter of luck or being on the right mailing list so they let you know. But now Hong Kong and Thailand — there it is always on sale 🙂 That would be a lot of fun.
