AROUND THE HOUSE – PHOTO A WEEK GALLERY

A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE: UNCATEGORIZED

Now is the time to pull out any photos you’ve been saving for a random and open photography challenge. The sky is the limit on this one, folks.

Whatever shall I do? I have so many picture … just one? A single oddball photograph from among tens of thousands. My mind is boggling. Hmm.

Okay, so here’s what I’m going to do. It’s a little collage of various things in my house. I am fond of the light coming through windows, so there are a few of them. And Garry’s Emmy, and the antique tractor in the garden.

  2. Wow, congratulations Garry. Just winning one is impressive. I can boast here in New Zealand that I personally know an Emmy Award Winner. Some great photos Marilyn.

  3. Emmys.., oh yeah I got one completely to my surprise. But from what I know about Garry.., he really SHOULD have a mantle full. The photos.., sorry, got distracted for a moment. My favorite is the tractor.

    • Garry got three over the years, but then Channel 7 stopped submitting him as a nominee. He would have had to submit his own nomination — and it was expensive. He got a lot of other awards, but the Emmy’s stopped after the 1970s when he was no long the TV station’s favorite new kid in town.

I LOVE that tractor. Garry gave it to me for our tenth anniversary. What a guy!!

I didn’t know you got one too. We are such an honored crowd 🙂 Really, almost every guy in the crowd got at least one Emmy. Golly. I’m awed to be amongst you.

  6. The night I won my first Emmy is still stuck in my sense memory. That’s when the Emmys were won on merit and not politicking. I thought I’d have a mantle full of Emmys before I retired. I was relatively young and naive.
