All the colors of the rainbow and some the rainbow never saw … in the flower department at the grocery store in my town.
And a double rainbow too …
WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: ROY G. BIV
This is a duplicate of the Daily Prompt for April 20, 2015. Just so you know. I guess it was too much trouble to create a new one even for this weekly photographic challenge.

Can’t get any better than the double rainbow 🙂 I have already used mine in some other challenge. Your gallery is bursting with colours. You’ve nailed it!

I wish it were my picture, but my son done good 🙂 It may be the only picture we ever get of a complete double rainbow. I’ve never seen another were the second bow was almost as bright as the first.

Apparently. My granddaughter is very good and has been since the day she first picked up a camera at age 10.

Amazing rainbow shot. I never got the chance to capture a rainbow. Sobbing 😦 Not that I didn’t see a rainbow but whenever I saw I didn’t had a camera.

In all the years I’ve been around, I’ve seen dozens of rainbows. I have ONE picture. Don’t feel bad. So much of it is having a bit of luck and the camera ready to shoot.

Awesome capture! Ominous and beautiful.

I guess you mean those glowering skies. And indeed, there was a powerful little thunder squall immediately after the rainbow. Then another rainbow 😉

Yes. Right place, right time. AND a camera. The camera made the difference!

Yesterday I went out with my social snappers group. I thought my camera was fully charged. It wasn’t. I had my cellphone with me. That wasn’t fully charged either. WE had a small fantail that followed us around and literally posed for me. To bad I had no camera left at all. So moral of the story – make SURE the camera batteries are fully charged.

Or, as I always suggest: have at least ONE spare battery. Always. Of course you have to have that charged too and sometimes, all systems fail.

It always happens when you really, really need to take a shot. It took hours to charge the camera again.

I carry a LOT of spare batteries. Whenever I have a few dollars, I order another one from Amazon. I’ve lost too many shots to dead batteries, so I’m a bit paranoid about it.

I am looking at getting another two batteries. Need them around here. Felt dumb when my camera went dead, and I was the leader of the group. That hurt.

Amazon sells after market batteries for most cameras. Cheap.

Gorgeous Marilyn, love the flowers, lovely light and lovely colours. It’s been grey here so nice to see some colour.

Thanks Leanne. It’s been off and on gray or rainy here too, though the sun pokes in and out of the clouds. It’s hard to go wrong with flowers 🙂

Yes, nature is great and having spent a few minutes listening to the news, I went wholeheartedly back to nature. Reality is nothing but bad news and worse news.

That rainbow picture looks like the entry to a very special McDonalds! What a lucky opportunity for Owen to catch that!

He usually doesn’t bring the camera to work, which is where he was that day. I think there really IS a Macdonalds a few stores down.

Color is great, especially on a gray day like today. It was sunny when I got up, but the sun has disappeared and the world looks rather dull. Flowers are the antidote!
