WHICH WAY — AUGUST DOG DAYS

CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE 2015 WEEK #34

Welcome everyone to Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge. This challenge is about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, we move from one place to another on.

I keep my eyes open for entries to Cee’s great challenges. This is “downtown” Uxbridge in August. There are two pictures taken along Route 122 (Main Street) and a third on Route 16 (Mendon Road, at least for this short stretch). These are the only roads that go through town.

    1. A long history, without much in the way of “events.” No famous battle, not much in the way of “great people.” Just a major mill town on the Blackstone. We had barges, then the railroad, then the mills were abandoned and went down south and the town went to sleep. Gradually, we’ve run out of money, so there are few celebrations of note, but it is a pleasant place to live and in many way, lovely.
