A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE: LIGHTS
From Nancy Merrill:
“With the Christmas season upon us, lights have become an important part of most people’s homes and cubicles at work. At the Draper City Park, this tree is the center point of their light display. To get this shot, I placed my tripod on the hill overlooking the tree and asked people to let me get a clear shot.”
From the archives, a few pictures full of lights. And very seasonal. They are among my all-time favorite pictures.

Thank you. It was a whole park with almost every tree lit. A beautiful night.

Great photos of lights – we don’t do this so much here in Hastings. It doesn’t get dark until after 9 which rather spoils it.

Thanks. Of course, you are at a different latitude so you have a different sunset. This kind of thing is relatively recent around here too. They weren’t doing it when I was growing up. Or when I was a younger woman. Just the last dozen years or so. But it is very pretty 🙂

Thank you, it was rather magical albeit VERY cold. We spent a lot of time finding a place to get out of the wind. It was quite the fairyland of lights.
