For Circle, WordPress’s Weekly Photo Challenge, this is the teepee top through a kaleidoscope lens.
I think of it as the maṇḍala I made myself. You can see the fibers and the textures of it, the bark of the oak tree whose saplings formed the poles.
And from that same teepee, our own circle of life with the hand prints of each member of the family on the door flap.
Happy New Year, to everyone, everywhere.

🙂 Your teepee sounds like a fun family project.

It was, but it was also a huge amount of work. 4 months worth. And heavy labor, not little stuff. Hauling rocks and sand and cutting down trees. It was worth it, in the end, but it was a much bigger project than I intended.

The teepee top was a special lens for a camera which (sadly) I know longer have, but it made interesting designs. The other was done with people, paint, and canvas 🙂 That was more fun.
