THE CHANGING SEASONS: MARCH 2016
Welcome to spring! Sunday was the Vernal Equinox, when day and night were the same length.
Knowing it was the first day of spring, I set my alarm to wake me in time to photograph the sunrise. This sequence of shots were all take during the approximately 2 minute window of the equinox.
SUNDAY MORNING: DAWN ON THE EQUINOX
Spring is here. The earth rejoices. Me too!
And then, the following morning (yesterday), the fickle finger of fate, known locally as “the weather” decided to make a point.
MONDAY MORNING: DAWN, 2nd DAY OF SPRING

This was the easier winter in years. I found an ant crawling around under the sink. Definitely spring!

It’s still cold today, but it will be lovely and warm in just a few days. Amazing how quickly the season will turn from now on!

You set the alarm to wake you in time to photograph on a Sunday? That’s commitment! I hope that the snow has melted again by now. Personally I’m tired of snow and I’ve had enough of it for this season (but it might try for a comeback soon though).

It melted before noon … and snowed again last night … but it’s pretty much gone now (noon, again). I believe this is the end of winter. This year wasn’t so bad. More like normal winters from the past that these epic endless blizzards we’ve had in recent year. I hope it is the beginning of a trend! I am SO ready for warm winds and flowers 🙂

It snowed … and melted before lunch. Did it again last night. I think warm is taking the field and cold will have to wait its turn till next winter. Mr. Frost? Don’t go away mad. Just — GO AWAY!
