Isn’t this how all fairy tales begin?
Once upon a time in a faraway land, there lived …
- A gnome.
- A princess.
- A prince.
- A piglet.
- A guy with a secret.
- An orphan child with a unicorn.
- A king or a queen.
- A shepherd.
- A knight with a broken sword.
- A hobbit.
- A wizard.
- An ordinary woman living an ordinary life doing perfectly ordinary things.
They all shared a common thing, that life gave them a path to follow. That path led to adventure. And something special.
They took the path shown them. What they found along the way made some of them rich. Others found great happiness, with or without love (or wealth). Others found a stranger destiny than they ever imagined, sometimes with the power to accomplish great things. Regardless, for each, the traveling and excitement eventually concluded.
After which, the high and mighty — as well as the smallest and least important — lived happily ever after. Except for …
… a guy with a Secret.
So secret he didn’t even know what he was looking for ???
But it nagged at him … every day … 24 hours a day … for 22 years …. something he needed to find.
Then … when he was at his lowest ebb … suicidal … on his knees … his Dark Night ended …
The Secret was revealed.
And his slow single journey up the mountain began …
Maybe he won’t blow it this time.

Tried to nominate you for the nature challenge, but found Cee had beat me to the trigger. Ah well. Perhaps I’ll nominate you again later in the week! Diabolical laughter… ;o)

I was going to nominate YOU, but Cee beat me, too. We all know each other. A bit “ingrown.” But it doesn’t matter. It’s just fun to be a part of it.

I nominate people and it is up to them whether they accept or not. I think if they don’t accept, there is not need to invite someone else. I just might invite you again! Ha.

Well, I can invite YOU too. And since we are already doing it, HA!

My daughter and I watched the first two Shrek movies. We discovered it was a little more grown up than we remembered. It is definitely not a children’s tale.

I think it’s a movies that could be for older children, or more mature younger ones. Some kids would “get it.” Others, probably would find it too scary. I would have done both at the same time. I was a weird kid.

Yes, we do. I think that’s the point. Everyone’s life is an adventure.

…. in farm country that looked like heaven, there was a young, handsome boy who loved baseball. He was a southpaw who threw like a rocket. And, once upon a time, long ago, young Roy Hobbs carved a baseball bat out of special wood. He called it “wonderboy”.
That was once upon a time…now that time is gone.

But they made a movie about him … and people watch, even up to today.

What about the women that are extra-ordinary, like you and me? We did our own thing, and that wasn’t bad either and we met on the way on a cloud. Yes, we are the first princesses that travelled by cloud.
