Another set of oddball photographs. It has been a more than a little oddball of a month, so far. At least weather-wise and definitely news and politically. My pictures do not reflect the state of the world.
I would have no idea how to show that in pictures. Suffice to say, I feel as if I fell down a rabbit-hole and haven’t found the way back. Moreover, we definitely are not in Kansas anymore.

Great photos Marilyn, the feet on the goose look so classy, they match his bill.

Love those big floppy orange feet. They look like something Disney invented for a cartoon.

They really stand out, don’t they? And they match his beak so well.

Matching is very important. Mismatched shoes are the bane of my wardrobe.

And nature doesn’t care if the floppy feet match the feathers 🙂

Are these ducks migratory? I would like to see more of them in South Florida.

I think these are around all year. To the best of my knowledge, ducks don’t migrate. They have a HUGE range, though and live all over the western hemisphere and for all I know, have managed to find their way to other continents too. I’m pretty sure at least some of them live in Asia.
The mallards, the ones with the green head? They should be around your way since their range is basically from Maine to Mexico.

Love that first shot of the goose with the (golden?) egg!

He’s was (it turned out) a domestic goose. That pond was surrounded by very high end real estate, so he probably belonged to one of the estates that abutted the pond. He certainly was familiar with people and not the least bit afraid of us.
