From Nancy Merrill: In a new post created for this challenge, share a photo or two of form having unusual points of focus.
I’m not sure how “unusual” my focus is, but I do like playing with focus. Sometimes foreground, sometimes background. The camera may or may not agree with my choices.
Wonderful images, Marilyn! I also love the new look for your blog. Thanks for joining the challenge!

Thank YOU for hosting. I wasn’t sure if I really had the right pictures, but I figured I’d give it a shot anyhow. Just to be sociable. I like the way this template looks, but it is giving me a really hard time with spacing and fonts … so I may change it again. I’m bound to pick a winner eventually.

Always maddening trying to find a template that works. I really like mine, but I don’t remember which one it is, and I’ve done some customizing to it, so it might not help to know which one it is. 🙂 Good luck!

I’ve been through more than a dozen … and all of them have issues. This one handles pictures beautifully, but I dislike the way it handles text. But it will stay until I find something better. Surprising how difficult the search for “the right” template has been. Four years and counting!

Because my blog is more about the photos, I haven’t cared as much about how the text looks. As a professional writer, I probably should, but I just haven’t. 🙂

I just really hate the spacing between headings and the following text. It bothers me. I spent years designing books and documents and not having the right spacing really gets me.

Thanks. The wonders of a macro lens strike again 🙂

Lovely shots. My camera lens itself doesn’t agree with what I want in focus. It is a real tug of war at times. Mostly it wins – it wont take the photo at all. I hat that lens. Can’t afford a better one so am stuck with it.

That IS the big issue with autofocus, but it’s also why sometimes, a manual override. My eyesight isn’t as good as it was, so I struggle with focus, but my Olympus cameras are pretty flexible tools. That’s probably what you need … a camera with a manual focus override. I bought my last camera second-hand and it’s amazing. You can get some pretty incredible equipment for short money if you know what you are looking for. Be patient. The right camera will come to you. If you didn’t live on the other side of the world, I’d GIVE you a camera.

When you speak of focus one tends to search for the area of focus in each photo. The mountains tend to draw the eye in the first photo. The flowers then the car are the focus for me in the other photos.

Thanks. I like making pictures that you can see in a number of different ways. It’s part of what makes photography such a satisfying hobby.

Love that first shot especially. The mums seem to be a perfect example. And pretty 🙂

All nice but I, also, like the first one most of all. Looks familiar.
