PORTRAITS – CEE’S BLACK & WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE

CEE’S BLACK & WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE: HEADS OR FACIAL FEATURES

When I was a young woman learning to take pictures, I used black and white film which I developed and printed. In those days, black and white was preferred for portraits, especially for head shots for those in show business.

Times have changed, but black and white is still a fine vehicle for portraiture.

    • Thanks! Black and white photos are kinder to most of us, putting the emphasis on expression and composition, rather than every blemish and wrinkle. Also, you do can a lot of dramatic stuff with lighting when you have the right equipment.
