I wanted another pet. But I wanted a pet that was quiet, didn’t eat much. Obedient, attractive, friendly. A really easy keeper.
Meet Fred. He’s undemanding, always cheerful and very bright. When I snapped this, the rain had just stopped a minute before. Say “HI Fred!”

Are you sure it is a Fred and not a Frederica. As you know I have a Fred and he keeps eyeing that bird you have. I think he fancies it. Let me know if it lays an egg in rainbow colours and if what hatches has eyes on stalks. You never know what those garden birds get up to in the night.

I hope Fred has a great Summer with you, but I’m afraid he might snowbird back to Miami once winter comes around!

Or maybe his relatives will come and keep him company. They can live in our shed until spring comes back.

Fred is very vain. He really wanted to get a chance to show off his handsome features 🙂

Better slow than not at all, eh?

VERY slow. Like the speed at which a redwood grows. Or maybe a saguaro.
