MORNING SUNSHINE- CEE’S ODDBALL PHOTO CHALLENGE

CEE’S ODD BALL PHOTO CHALLENGE: 2016 WEEK 21

Got some goodies this week I think.

There’s the sink and the pretty colors of everyday things.

The dogs love playing “the stairway game.” I think it’s because they are above me for a few minutes, but every dog we’ve had here has played this game. It’s the canine vs. human “king of the mountain.” I always let them win. And the prize is, of course … you guessed it … a biscuit!

And then, there are keys … hooked in plain sight so we can always find them as we come and go.

The coffee is ready and the sun is shining!

And so begins the day!

  1. I am always losing my keys. Even when I had somewhere to hang them they always managed to end up somewhere else. Great selection of photos

  5. Interesting taps in the bathroom, American style? I think if I hung my keys on a hook I will probably forget where the hook is. Dogs will be dogs and kitchens remain kitchens, not at all odd, part of life.

    • Those taps in the bathroom were on sale at the local housewares big box store, so we have them in all three bathrooms. They also come in gold and they have held up pretty well … more than 15 years so far.

The keys are right next to the door. If we DON’T put them there, it becomes an all points search of the house … and it’s a pretty big house. So we are really programmed to put the keys on the hooks by the door. Whenever we don’t, chaos reigns.

Yes, absolutely, Kitchens are kitchens and despite it need some serious updating, I really love my kitchen. I’m not sure why, but I think it’s that morning sunlight and the view. And, of course, it’s the room that leads to the deck in warm weather and from where I can watch the fuchsias and the humming birds. There were at least a dozen hummingbirds out there this morning … but if I open the door to take a pictures, they’d be gone in a flash. So I have no pictures, but the hummingbirds really love this year’s fuchsias.

The dogs are really funny about the stairs. They get all excited because they can pat US on the head as we come up. They also growl and snarl and do all this “We are dangerous dogs” stuff … and then they want the cookie 🙂
