Marilyn, you’ve excelled yourself this post. Amazing how black and white still looks amazing in these days of HD and 4K but as always you save the best for last. Your car shines in b&w but I still love your work. xoxo

Great photos Marilyn. As I was scrolling down they were just getting better. The rusty old truck & the truck burried under the snow are my favourites. Spectacular images.

I love old rusted out vehicles, and yours is my favorite of all these great pics…I also love the fire engine. It’s on your property, isn’t it? It seems like I’m not prone to taking pictures of vehicles.. I had to drag out old hard drive backups to find enough to post.Busy busy time right now and for next two weeks before I leave. Please email me your mailing address and phone number in the states!!oxox

The old fire truck is just down the road, but poor old number 2 is beginning to fall into ruin now. She’s been in the field for more than 20 years and time is finishing her off. The truck in on the property of the farm about a mile from us. Farmers leave their old truck out in the pasture. A kind of retirement? I’ll email you with the other information. Let me know when you’ll be here!!!! I’m so EXCITED.

I won’t be any closer to you than Nova Scotia.. and my friend who was going to rent a car with me there bailed so I’m going to be there alone. Want to come join me?

I’d love to, but I can’t imagine exactly how. It’s a bit far for driving … let’s do this offline.

They are sort of like country street signs: Turn left at the rusted out fire engine, drive two miles and then turn left at the corner where you see the pinto pony in the field.

Exactly. They used to say in Jerusalem that you knew you’d been there too long when you gave directions via former landmarks, like “Turn left where the old Zion theater used to be …”

I love your photos, Marilyn, but I found this in my “junk” box. What’s going on?

Sometimes the spam filters get really psyched and put everything in junk or spam. Happens to me, too.

Love them all, but especially the first one of the lorry on the road, the b/w version really converts it to one of the giants of the road.
