It hadn’t occurred to me until right now, DUH!, but George R R Martin must have read Robert Frost. A Song of Ice and Fire.

We read Robert Frost in high school, but I’m guessing that’s not done in high school these days. I can still recite quite a few of his poems.

I have no idea what they teach in public school now, but they do include Frost in college lit courses. High school? Do they teach literature at all?
