I was not at my computer yesterday. Those who know me may be shocked, but I was actually out having some long-deferred family fun. Gasp! SHE HAS A FAMILY? Yes, she does. They live rather far away, but every once in a while, when the moon turns blue and the stars align in a unique configuration … we meet!

But – I digress.

The subject of this challenge is “Look Up.”I have a new little photo toy, an 18 degree fish eye body cap for my Olympus … and was intent on using it. It was also (apparently) intent on being used, so in this pictures, the camera is looking up at me, while I am looking down at the camera. Which was, unbeknownst to me, taking my picture.

I’m not sure why I find it so funny, but I do.

And, more purposefully …

  2. I love that “Gasp. SHE HAS A FAMILY?” We all forget that other bloggers are people just like us. Enjoy your time with your family, Marilyn.

And PS – that camera might be possessed. 🙂

  3. I’m so glad to know that you’re spending time with your family. I’d want to hear more about them. It is strange how they bring out the best in us.
Also, I find the picture funny as well. I like your camera. Hmm.

  4. My family has shrunk at the moment. No, 1 son on holiday and No. 2 son on the othe side of Switzerland. My dad now gone and just me and Mr, Swiss, but it’s OK. Love the fish eye photo. I also have an choice on my Canon – should definitely use it more

    • My family has gotten downright tiny. There are cousins I’ve never met — quite a few of them and I hear about them on Facebook, but the odds of my getting to know them are slim to none. They all live in the Baltimore/DC area, which is several hundred miles away and none of us are planning to move closer. So really, it’s just my son and my granddaughter when she chooses to drop by. We see friends somewhat more often. The circle does shrink, but I guess that is true for all of us.

  5. Yay, Marilyn has a Life! Also, a family! Nice new fish eye lens. This will be a great feature for your Olympus camera. I have been up to my Mom’s for nine days and it has been a nice break from my work. 🙂 My family know I can read posts and talk but my work has us lock our cell phones in lockers. So, work is worse on my blogging than family visits. I posted a Lake Erie beach “people watching” post. Probably wouldn’t have been able to get to beach if family weren’t with me! Ha ha, funny how different our perspectives are. 🙂
