Mundane Monday Challenge : Learn Photography
So in the mundane world, something that has a beauty that supersedes the ordinary. Extraordinary in its ordinariness.
The aloe on my kitchen counter is not just any old plant. It is the plant that soothes my burns, heals my cuts.
It grows no matter what, even when I neglect it, which is mostly what I do, it has been part of my life for more than 20 years. I can’t remember when I got it originally, as a clipping from a friend’s aloe. Just one little cut piece, stuffed into a pot with some dirt … and it has been my friend ever since.
I find it beautiful.

It is the most useful plant in my world. It always looks a bit shabby because I’m always lopping off pieces for one reason or another. But it doesn’t care. It just grows more!

They are really handy. I think I must have killed mine. Don’t remember what happened to it but it isn’t here anymore. Good to have around.
